Artist's Description

I love to get out on a hike before dawn and wait for the sunrise show to begin. In another half an hour the sun will just start hitting Cathedral rock, thats the little group of spires way out left of center. The large mass of spires on the right and close in left side is part of the Flying buttress. On the upper left side is the Schnebly wall which drops lower about a quarter of the way in and continues as the Crimson Cliffs. The lower and relatively flat structures in the valley is known as the Cowpie formation.
